Warriors of Wellness began when Renee wished to incorporate her passion for people, with her love of all things Health & Fitness. Her husband, James, joined the team a few years later sharing Renee’s passion and vision to positively impact the lives of as many people as possible

Renee has always been passionate about people, health and fitness. She started dance classes at the age of three and hasn’t stopped moving since! Renee completed her Personal Training qualifications whilst working as a Social Worker in public hospitals, after becoming increasingly frustrated at questionable advice friends were receiving that didn’t seem to add up.


After becoming a parent herself, Renee completed further study to specialize in Pre & Postnatal training and is a certified Pilates instructor. She loves working with Mothers to help create a sustainable and fun way to focus on their fitness, and making every day life (including parenting tasks) easier. As a Mumma to two very active kiddos, Renee understands the importance of being fit and functional. She is passionate about empowering women with education and support to confidently move their bodies in a way that is safe and effective, regardless of whether they are planning a family, pregnant, or postpartum.


Renee loves the energy of a small group training session, and drawing upon her Social Work skills when working with individuals to help eradicate negative beliefs, and nurture a growth mindset. She is also passionate about Essential Oils and how they can be used to support ones physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.


Besides health and fitness? Renee loves coffee, is a breakfast enthusiast, dog Mumma, dancing queen, early riser, wannabe gardener, over-thinker and over-planner, and forever doing laundry.

Although James started out as a carpenter, his passion and skills are much better suited to health and fitness! With 10 years experience working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in the AFL, and over 10 years experience lecturing at Deakin College, James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Warriors of Wellness team.


James loves all things movement and is passionate about helping his clients get the absolute most out of their training by developing healthy movement patterns and creating a strong strength foundation to build upon. With a focus on overcoming barriers to exercising, injury prevention and long-term athletic development, James loves working with clients of all ages and experience levels. His passion for teaching Anatomy often makes its way into a session with James as clients become curious as to why we work the way we do.


Besides health and fitness? James loves being outdoors, is a numbers whizz, sport enthusiast, the household barista, nap opportunist, neat freak, whiteboard thinker, and big kid at heart.
